The first photo is of Aga Khan Palace in Pune, India. The palace is where Gandhi was imprisoned by the British for a few years. Though he was later released, his wife and personal assistant died while imprisoned there (and their ashes laid to rest). After Gandhi passed away, his ashes were also laid to rest here, beside his wife and assistant.
Last month I went on a trip to Asia for work. I spent about a week in India and a week in Asia. Following the two weeks in Asia, I spent the following half week in Las Vegas. The photos I've included below are from each of those locations in each of their respective weeks. The first photo is of Aga Khan Palace in Pune, India. After spending some time in Chinatown, I headed to the bay and the location of the national symbol of Singapore...the Merlion. The shot looks into the bay from behind the Merlion with the awesome presence of the Marina Bay Sands building in the background. I was in Vegas for the same reason I have been there every October for the past five years...kickball. The WAKA Founders Cup tournament and the more fun Kickball Games takes place over Columbus Day weekend every year. All my pictures from the event are from tournament day, and there were a lot of fun ones to choose from. The photo I've chosen represents one of the more memorable moments of the day, when Adam and Mike played as one (with Adam on Mike's shoulders). They kicked a single. Then made it to second on the next play. Then scored on the final play. It was an exciting thing to watch. Below they are running from second to third and getting ready to head home for the score.
