First up is a photo taken up in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. I can't remember the name of the lake, but it was very blue (like most of the glacial lakes up there).
When we returned from Canada, Tiff's mom was waiting at the airport in Denver to spend the weekend with us. We took her up to Rocky Mountain National Park, and spotted a herd of elk in one area.
I definitely spent a lot of time outdoors this Summer. Sometimes Otis got to come along. I took him on a hike up my first (and his second) fourteener. The mountain was Mount Elbert, the highest in Colorado. Otis was a champ and loved it, though he looks tired in the below picture taken at the summit.
A couple of friends from ABQ came to visit, Lucas and Monica. They had to experience Voodoo Donut, now not only located in Portland but also in Denver!
It was then off to New England for my brother's wedding. I was too busy being Best Man to really take any photos. Earlier in the weekend I took Tiff for her first visit to Fenway Park! It was only a tour, but still fun.
The week I got back from New England there were multiple concerts. Tiff and I first went to Foster the People at Red Rocks, then she went back there the next night for Ray Lamontagne. Over the weekend I went to OK Go (pictured below).
I went on a last minute work trip to Syracuse and Pittsburgh. While in Pittsburgh, I met up with friends Justin and Phoebe (two weeks before they moved to Denver). They took me downtown and I got to see PNC Park. Unfortunately the Pirates weren't in town that day.
Back to the great outdoors of Colorado! We spent a weekend with friends camping at Grand Lake. We hiked a bit, enjoyed a beer festival and rented a pontoon boat!
For the second year in a row, I attended the Summer Scream...an event sponsored by the Denver Film Society. One ticket gets you into Lakeside Amusement Park (adults only) with all you can drink alcohol and unlimited rides.
A typically early-fall trip to Albuquerque brought me to film the next Zissou Kickball video. While there I also got to meet the newest member of Team Zissou!
This is taken from a rose bush in our back yard.
With Autumn comes the color-changing leaves of the Aspen trees across Colorado. I went on a one night camping trip with some friends and of course Otis had to come along too. He sure does love being in nature.
