I was thrilled that I had so many people interested in going. I ended up getting to go with some of my very good friends, including one college roommate and two people I was with the first time I went to London in 2001. The list included Kimble, Matt Avena and his eventual wife, college roommate Dan with his eventual wife and his sister, Jacquie, Shea and Missy. It was a great time that included various sites in and around London (Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Tower Bridge, The Tate, St. Paul's, The British Museum, Greenwich, Imperial War Museum, Big Ben). We also caught a show in the Picadilly area, went on a day trip to Stonehenge and visited the pub I spent much time at while I was in school there, The Roebuck.
As I mentioned, we were also there for New Year's. For New Year's Eve, half the group went to watch the fireworks near Big Ben over the Thames River while the other half went to a club. The next morning we headed to Trafalgar Square to watch the New Year's Day parade. The photo below is of some of us watching the parade.
