While walking around World Market last weekend, I came across a Tikka Masala Curry in a jar.
The items I chose are as follows...
- Tikka Masala Curry sauce
- Chicken Breast
- Garlic
- Red Bell Peppers
- Potato
- Asparagus
- Brown Rice
I started by peeling, cutting and boiling one potato. While that was boiling, I cut the rest of the vegetables and the chicken. Photos were taken in progress, I used only a third of that chicken pack and chopped the garlic more fine.
While that was left to simmer, the asparagus was cooked in a separate frying pan as a side dish.
Final verdict...I was overall happy with the way everything turned out. It felt like a meal I would have had in India. I did however find the curry to be a bit bland. I wish I had added some seasonings and spice to give it some more flavor. Everything I ate in India was bursting with flavor, and this didn't do that. I would probably add a chile pepper of some sort and a few spices if I were to use this curry again. Otherwise, a good meal!
