The final official count for my 88 things to do in 888 days is 52 items completed, 12 partially completed and 24 that I never began. Considering how ambitious many of these items were I find this to be a satisfying result. Sure I wish I could've gotten to more of the travel goals, but otherwise I did quite well. You may have noticed by looking at my list that there were many multi-part items. Those were goals that though listed as 1 of the 88 goals, there were multiple items to accomplish before meeting that 1 goal. With that being said, my more accurate count is 233 completed items out of 346. That's about 67%!
I managed to get a few things completed in the final couple of months of the 888 days...a sort of final push. That included 34. Read 5 books off the Time's Top 100 list by finishing Catch 22. Item 63. Attempt to recover files on hard drive from old computer was accomplished thanks to a coworker. It is so nice to have all my old pictures from college that I haven't seen in several years...wow, has it been that long!?!
On the evening of the 888th day, I for a second time attempted 55. Complete a food challenge featured on "Man vs Food." Unlike the first time, which was a failed attempt at a 10lb 2-person pizza challenge, I conquered the Quaker Steak & Lube Atomic Wing Challenge.
That closed out the 88 in 888. I would like to thank everyone that participated in many of these goals with me. It's been a fun ride. Though I've had many ups and downs over the last few years, this list helped me focus on the little things in life that keep me moving forward. So I decided there's no reason these goals have to stop here. My final goal accomplished was 87. Complete a new list to start when this one ends. The new list I've titled "The Sequel: 101 in 1001" has stepped up the number of goals and the time to accomplish them in. I won't get into them in this post, but I'll try to talk about them soon. In the meantime, you can take a look at the new list here.
I hope you'll continue to enjoy this ride that I'm sharing with you.
