The new list is bigger and longer, 101 things to do in 1001 days. I began creating this list in the final days of my previous one. I wanted to begin as soon as the 88 in 888 ended. The easiest thing to do first was to take a look at the items on my previous list that I was not able to complete. There certainly were a number of items I didn't have as much interest in doing anymore, but many incomplete goals did get transferred to the new list. The travel goals were the biggest example of this. I had some ambitious travel goals, like going to the continents I haven't been to and seeing many of the World Wonders. I may not have completed those goals yet, but they are still very much an important part of the things I want to do in my life.
I also ended up adding to the new list some of the items from the previous list that I had accomplished already. If you're familiar with my list and my blog, you know I do sort of maybe like film...a bit. So goals like watching films from the AFI 100 or foreign films I haven't seen have returned to the new list. I definitely expanded on the film category with new goals too, like wanting to watch a film I haven't seen that was released every year since the Academy Awards began. That's 80 years worth of movies! I also will be trying to watch a movie that begins with each letter of the alphabet. This means that like my last list, I have many goals that have multiple parts.
I grouped all my goals into different categories again, and they're all pretty similar from the orignal. I redefined the creative and arts categories a bit, but the same ideas are there. I still want to channel my creative ideas. I still want to travel the world. I still want to be entertained by film, sports and various activities. And of course, I still want to JUMP! I want to enjoy my life while I have it and want to share it with anyone who is interested.
So I'm already well 0n my way into the next chapter of my life. I do hope it will be an exciting one. It is in fact my early 30's and should be some of the best times of my life. At the time of this blog entry I've accomplished 16 of my new goals already, and there will be many more to come!
